Newpark Hotel Kilkenny Wedding

The Perfect Summer Wedding

Early morning prep for Una took place at the hotel while JD left from his mother’s house, stopping en route to enjoy a pre-wedding pint at his own Kyteler’s Inn.

After a beautiful ceremony at St Mary’s Cathedral the happy couple were toasted by their guests as they emerged from their wedding car to a reception of chilled fruit punch, gourmet canapes and ice cream on the Terrace.

A major advantage of the Newpark Hotel is that whatever the number of guests, they can offer the perfect setting as they have a range of banqueting suites available leach featuring floor to ceiling windows, beautiful chandeliers and gorgeous floral candelabras on each table. The attention to detail was stunning and even included a personalized menu for each of Una and JD’s guests. They were able to enjoy their own private bar and garden terrace for exclusive use of the wedding party.

From a photography point of view, Newpark has so much to offer with loads of hidden areas both inside and out – there’s even a gorgeous romantic swing! But being a Kilkenny native I couldn’t resist showcasing a little bit of the city also!

Nick books a limited number of weddings each year - download his Wedding Photography Brochure for more details.

Whether you’re hosting an intimate wedding with your closest friends and family or opting for a lavish event, Newpark Hotel would be perfect for your celebration. The Dunmore Suite can cater for up to 160 guests and the Glendine Suite can cater for up to 130 guests for the main wedding meal. For weddings between 160-320 guests, both suites combine to offer you the perfect setting for a larger wedding party.

Within each banqueting suite is a bar area where your guests can relax in comfort and privacy. There is also a private garden at the end of our ballroom which you and your wedding guests will have exclusive use of on the night.
