Privacy Statement

If you would like me to photograph to your wedding or if you are thinking about having me photograph your wedding, or if I have photographed your wedding, there is some personal information that I need from you to do my job better, or at all. If you would like a quote I will need your contact info to reply & answer your questions. If you would like me to arrive at your parents house on the morning of your wedding day, I will need their address or better again the eircode so I can show up and look after you all. I won't collect any unnecessary personal data from you other than the information I need to do my job for you guys. If we meet up for coffee to go over your wedding day plans & timeline. I might ask you how you met as I'm actually genuinely interested in you as people and it helps me look after you both more naturally on your wedding day.

But really, I take GDPR seriously & I fully respect my clients personal data and keeping it safe. I will only use your information to fulfil our contract in place for me to photograph your wedding. I need to contact you about your wedding day, take photographs, send them to you and arrange your wedding album, the usual stuff a good wedding photographer does. I will need to know where I need to be on your day, The morning preparations, the church or ceremony location and the reception.

I also sometimes need to update my website and social media by showing some couples images in my galleries and continue being viewed by future clients. But I always ask first, I don't share your images without asking.

I will not ever store your information for the purposes of marketing to you in the future as our contract is fulfilled once you have your wedding album. There is no marketing database.

I will not sell your personal information to anyone no matter how much they offer me...never!

My website collects cookies so which helps me to understand where my clients come from and how well my website works.

If hired, at your wedding I will photograph the entire day and since wedding days are predominately about people, relationships fun and laughter, I will be capturing some of your guests also. to deliver a full story of your wedding day. If there's a super cute child doing something super cute I still won't share that image unless given consent from the parent. I'm not going to share any embarrassing photo of uncle bob or grandad asleep at the ceremony. If any of your guests come to me and ask to remove a photo I took of them I will.

All the images of your wedding are stored both online on my private cloudbased storage system & on my secure storage system here, they are password protected, your wedding images can be accessed by myself, you the client and anyone else that you wish to send the link and password to.

I treat your data I collect and store with care, and ensure it is stored securely and only for as long as I require it to fulfil our contract. I will tell anyone who asks exactly what data I have stored about them, you know anyway as you told me. I will remove any of your data from my systems that you would rather I don’t store as far as practicable, but if doing so might have implications for how I can do the job you’ve contracted me to do (if relevant), I will inform you of any consequences of this, so you can make an informed decision about such a request. All data is stored and or processed in a GDPR-compliant manner.

For my clients, we process your data:

• in order to provide you with wedding photography services;

• in order to provide you with wedding photography advice;

The legal basis for the processing of this data is processing necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party. Where we process special categories of data relating to you, e.g. race or ethnic origin of a data subject that we may process in connection with your wedding pictures where we are acting on your behalf, our legal basis for processing will be that the processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

If you do not provide us with your information for the purposes described above, I cannot provide you with wedding photography advice and/or services.
